Kia Kaha is a school based programe that aims to help schools create environments where all members of the community feel safe, valued and respected and bullying cannot flourish.
Th programme at schools years 4-6 focuses on 'Building a Bully Free Zone'.
The site provides a wide range of resources and links, including guildines for dealing with bullying situations. The Kia Kaha programme is supported by New Zealand Police and Telecom.
Local Police Youth Education Service (YES) officers can work with teachers to implement the programme.
