NetSafe - Learn Guide Protect

How do I add my bit?

The true value of myLGP is in the regular contributions from the teacher community.  Teachers promoting cybersafety in their classroom know best what works in their context.

myLGP has short videos that will take you through the simple steps to become an active contributor to mylgp.

  • How to add a bit to LGP
  • How to comment on or recommend a bit to others
  • How to create a collection

Below is a step by step guide in text form

Add a bit

There are 2 steps to contributing a bit.
Step 1 Adding a bit  click on the ‘add a bit’ symbol . Write a short description of the bit at the bottom of the page add tags that will help others find and use the bit. Click on SAVE.
Step 2 Adding classifications(You can skip this step however classifying content makes it easier for the community to find appropriate content quickly). Classifications let users search for content based on: key competencies, values, year levels, curriculum levels, digital citizenship definitions and digital citizenship phases.

Edit a bit

This allows you to make changes to a bit you have created.

Remix a bit

This is a way for you to make additions to bits created by others.  A user might change or adapt a bit created for year 4 students and remix it for older students or add a related link. If you remix a bit, consider changing the title to distinguish it from the original.

Flag a bit

This gives you a way to let us at NetSafe know a bit is inappropriate or needs attention.

Comment on a bit

This allows you to tell the teacher community how you have used a bit, what you think of it, or make suggestions for others to consider.

Recommend

This allows you to let the community know when you think a bit is particularly valuable
